2 years production brewery experience
Formal brewing/fermentation education a huge plus but not required
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work weekends as required
Must be 21+
High attention to detail
Excellent cleaning and sanitation practices
Mechanically inclined a plus
Excellent communication skills
Ability to problem-solve and diagnose issues
At UFF, the role of Production Manager is not strictly a desk job: brewing, packaging and cellaring work will be required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage production staff around all activities to do with creation of products
Ensure quality and on time production of all SKUs including beer, cider, mead,
kombucha, and vinegar
Manage inventory, create production schedules, procure materials and ingredients
and plan seasonality of products and flavors accordingly
Meet with HR Manager and staff concerning but not limited to employee
evaluations, hiring, performance, of issues
Produce and adhere to a working budget
Product projections to track efficient production of products
Work closely with GM, Office/HR Manager, and Tasting Room Manager to
ensure transparent and fluid implementation of UFF’s vision.
Work closely with staff to meet production goals
Work closely with GM and sales team to meet sales goals
Work closely with our Distributors and the Sales team to ensure that weekly and
monthly orders are met
Assist and lead brewing of beer and gruit: work production, fermentation, and
Monitor fermentations and manage staff involved with all products including
cider, mead, kombucha, and vinegar
QC of all products
Work closely with Office Manger on procurement of all ingredients and dry
Assist with equipment maintenance and functioning.
Offer packaging line help
Must be able to lift 55lbs with or without assistance and sustain efficient activity
standing on hard surfaces for 8 hours or more.
Represent the company at conferences, events, tap takeovers etc.
Represent the company at Guild meetings and brew festivals
