How is permaculture or fermentation changing your life? Do you want to connect with other fermies and permies in the Portland area? Got a project that you keep dreaming about? Join us for a conversation cafe about permaculture at the Urban Farm Fermentory tasting room.

A conversation cafe is a one-and- a-half hour hosted conversation, held in a public setting like the tasting room, where anyone is welcome to join. A simple format helps people feel at ease and gives everyone who wants it a chance to speak—it’s also fine for people to simply listen. At this conversation cafe we are going to talk about what permaculture and fermentation means to us and some of the cool projects we have been involved with or learned about. We will also dream up some fermie permie schemes together.

This is a facilitated gathering. Your host is Rachel Lyn Rumson of Royal River Collaborative. She is a professional facilitator, permaculture designer and educator. She was a partner in Cooperative Fermentation in 2015 and this year she started Cooperative Design Lab, a nine month program for cooperative leaders and managers. Rachel Lyn love group process so of course fermentation and permaculture! She also runs a small homestead B&B in Gray called George Perley House.
