Urban Farm Fermentory is currently seeking a Cellar Person/ Barback. Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21+

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • Must be able to lift 55lbs

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Mechanically inclined a plus

  • Ability to problem-solve and diagnose issues

  • Kitchen/ bar experience preferred 


Part-time Cellar Person/ Barback MUST be available Thursday 9am-4pm, Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 12pm-9pm with the possibility of additional days as needed.

Cellar Person responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Cleaning:

  • Maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Cleaning Kegs and Cornies following UFF protocol

  • Cleaning Vessels and tanks following UFF protocol

Bottling:

  • Filling bottles using gravity filler

  • General maintenance and cleaning of filling equipment.

  • Managing labeling equipment

  • Packing and palletizing boxes of product

Flavor Preparation:

  • Cutting, juicing, steeping, pressing, pasteurizing flavorings (fruit, vegetable, herbs, etc.)

  • Cleaning kitchen equipment

Kegging:

  • Filling and transferring kegs with product using pumps, scales, and hoses

Preparation of outgoing orders:

  • Checking PO slips, palletizing products, shrink-wrapping bundles and double-checking order details

  • Work closely with Production and Office Managers


Barback responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Cleaning:

  • Gathering all dirty glassware

  • Running dishwasher

  • Building clean flight boards

  • Restocking glassware

  • Cleaning tables, floor, bar as needed

General Weekly Maintenance:

  • Sweeping/ mopping behind bar and refrigerators

  • Cleaning all corners, windowsills and hallways

  • Special projects as assigned by TR manager and staff
